On my run today I spotted this patch of mushrooms that seemed to have just sprouted up over night. I didn't see them two days ago, so these suckers really did just bust a move! They're so weird looking and to be honest, mushrooms have always freaked me out. They're just so strange I wouldn't even want to touch them, besides I can never tell if they're poisonous or not. They do have some what of a cute shape to them. I just can't help but think of druggies and the Smurfs every time I spot one.

Fairwell Jason
Meet my good friends: Jason and Lauren. Jason works for the Air Force and is being deployed overseas in a couple of weeks. Lauren hired me to take a few family portraits of them before Jason has to leave. I met them at the Air Force Base and it was actually a nice place to take pictures. I had a lot of fun capturing these moments with my friends and I can't express how honored I was that they asked me to do this for them. I got over sixty really good pictures, but here's a sneak peek at a few of my favorites.

We'll be praying for you Jason while you're gone. Thanks so much for serving our country. You'll be missed. And don't worry, we'll take care of your girls while you're gone.

Faces of Stella
This is the normal "I'm too good for you because I just signed on to be a Calvin Klein model" look.
Sweet girl face.
Freaked out face.

Addison
Liesl has been a part of my life since the first grade when I met her on the playground. She was chasing someone while playing tag in overalls and pigtails. Somehow my mom had already known about her through her parents and told me to look out for her. So, following my mothers orders when I saw her on the playground, I stopped her and said, "Hey! Are you Liesl?" That's where our friendship began and here we are 17 years later and still friends. She's married and has a daughter now who is about six months old. She and her sister, Kristen, were driving back from a family reunion up north and decided to use us as a stopping point while on their way back to Florida. She had seen some baby pictures I had taken of other babies and asked me to take some of Addison. Of course I'll take any excuse to put my camera to use. Addison is such a fun baby and full of smiles. There we were in the front yard, three girls acting like lunatics trying to get this baby to smile and Dave came along and just looked at her. She got the biggest grin on her face. Here are a few from the shoot. I hope you enjoy them Liesl!

Belly Full Of Laughs
I got to hang out with Lauren and Riley tonight. Riley is too fun. Who knew changing into pajamas could be so funny!
